Webmaster/developer for winery ecommerce site (WordPress, WooCommerce)

One of my longtime clients, a small premium winery in Sebastopol, is in desperate need of a web developer to enhance and maintain their Wine Shop site — a WordPress build with WooCommerce integration.

Besides ongoing maintenance (staging server setup, ongoing updates to WP and plugins, etc) we want to make changes to the way products are organized and displayed within WooCommerce. So ideally we need somebody with serious WC chops who can make changes to the PHP scripts and that sort of thing.

The initial scope would be to make the WooCommerce changes (mostly involving how products are organized, and how taxes are applied to transactions); after that we want to combine the current winery brochure site with the WP/WC Wine Shop site, which will definitely require the creation of some custom page templates in WP. We’re thinking an overall design refresh will be part of this second phase of things, so it could be a pretty good piece of business.

Going forward there would be a pretty steady stream of routine webmaster-type stuff (regular maintenance and updates), along with occasional larger tasks that could be billed hourly or on a project basis.

This is a great client — easy to work with, pays invoices on time, etc — and I’d like to find them a dev who can help evolve their site into one of the best in the industry.
