The WIMP Referral Program
The WIMP leadership has always done its best to connect you (Wimps) with your prospective clients. As we continue to grow and become a constant conduit for new work referrals for our members, we ask that you join our Referral Program to help us better serve our members and our community.
How does it work?
WIMP members put on the referral list agree to pay WIMP a 5% commission on revenue earned from those direct referrals.
WIMP pre-screens prospective clients and then sends a referral list based on their specific requirements for their project or position.
When WIMP includes you in a referral list, we’ll also send you the information the client filled out here.
You keep track of all the inquiries you get and revenue generated and send us a report once a quarter, and we invoice you based on the amount of income generated.

Q&A
- Do I have to pay commission on every referral I get through WIMP?
Nope. Only direct referrals through this process. The reason being that it is an involved process and not simply passing on a name. You’re screened as pre-qualified and they have already done the legwork to give us detailed information about the project or position. - Do I pay a referral fee for any future work I do with a client I acquire through the Referral Program?
No. Just anything from the first point of contact. The purpose of the program is for WIMP to be compensated for our effort and position, not to be greedy. - How is this different from the Members Directory?
The members directory, which is scheduled to go live in January, will be separate from our referral program. Any work you get as a result of people finding you through the public directory will not be susceptible to a commission fee but be included in your WIMP+ membership fees (which will also go live in January).
